12 Gauge

Missouri's Premire Poetry Boy Band
Poetry. Shotguns. Art. Confederate Flags. Animal Husbandry. Midgets. Haiku. Is nothing sacred?
Axis of Evil is proud to present 12-Gauge, Toadsuck Missouri’s premier (and only) poetry boy band. From the Hills of the Ozark Mountains, where sweet words and double-wide trailers collide, these boy-poets sprung, often into farm animals. Now, as they make their way to the dizzying heights of literary infamy, 12-Gauge spews words like shotguns from the same mouths they proudly kiss each other’s mama’s with. Titles such as “My Own Grandpa”, “What Is You Girl (Retarded)?”, and their epic “Hicku” cycle make them a provocative and audacious addition to any comedy night or poetry evening, even thought they don’t know what that means.
Cooter Wayne Duke
Cooter Wayne Duke’s work is widely known throughout Missouri, mostly because he uses little words. After graduating from elementary school, he went on to study the works of Walt Whitman, Robert Frost, and Ron Jeremy. He is proud to have his work featured in the Missouri State Library, in the third floor east stack men’s room stall. Cooter is deeply influenced by several great stories of love and romance he read in Hustler. When not touring England, Cooter Wayne Duke likes to drive trucks, attend State Fairs, eat Corn Dogs, and dissect post-modern philosphy and it’s influences on contemporary thought while nekked.
Billy Ray Byron

Refreshing. Golden. Viscous. Alcoholic. If Billy Ray Byron were a beer, he would be Coors Light. Billy Ray’s work reflects his intense desire to make sense of his world, and NASCAR racing. If you think you’ve felt pain, Billy’s probably the cause and solution. Billy draws influences from Metallica, the genetic work of Watson and Crick, Chuck-E Cheeze, Gary Glitter, Lenin and McCartney, and Fitty Cent. His hobbies include bear baiting, wife-swapping, and donating sperm to charity shops.
Felicity Erma Leanne Haversham Constantine the 3rd

Raised by racoons from the age of 2, Felicity Erma Leanne Haversham Constantine the 3rd is awed by your world and it’s modern technology. Preferring an adherence to form over style, Felicity is the member of the group most likely to be accused of eschewing raw emotive dialectic in deference to strict Eurocentric poetic paradigm, and trying to hump the family dog. Felicity dreams in color, but loves in black and white, the subject of his 300,000-word masterwork, “Bovinity: Or That Cow Wanted It Bad”. Do not leave your children with Felicity.
So ya’ll don’t wait. Come down and see 12-Gauge soon’s you can, now, y’hear? They’ll be waiting for you.
